Story
Jesus Christ stands on a bank of rounded boulders, each one outlined in a single brown contour and filled with warm stipple so the rock reads as weight rather than pattern. The robe above it is deliberately the opposite: an almost untouched ivory, modelled only by long, fine drapery lines that curve with the body. Nothing in the painting competes with that white.
