Lord Dhanvantari — Lord of Healing
The divine physician standing on a lotus above the curling ocean
Story
Lord Dhanvantari appears here as the divine physician: calm, frontal and richly ornamented. The pale blue complexion connects him with Vishnu, while the tall crown, circular halo and long garlands give the figure the still authority of a sanctum image.
The upper hands carry the chakra and conch. A lower left hand holds the Amrutha Kalasha, while the lower right hand carries a Jalauka. Sun and moon faces watch from the upper corners, placing the deity within a cosmic span rather than an earthly landscape.
At the base, Dhanvantari stands on a full orange lotus above a dense band of blue-green curls. The movement of water below makes the upright figure feel even more settled.
